BunkerBoy

A small survival-strategy game built for the original Game Boy.

Ration food and water, keep morale high, send risky expeditions into the wastes, and try to repair the radio long enough to be rescued.

And remember that you are not managing numbers, you are saving lifes!

Loop

Each day you will:

• Assign rations per survivor (food / water / medkit).
• Choose one action per survivor: Play to raise morale, Practice with weapons, Try radio (once per day total), or Send expedition with chosen gear.
• Face events at the end of the day.
• Watch days tick by… until rescue or perish.

Key features

• Per-survivor management: feed, treat, and task individuals, or not!
• Morale matters: sending someone out costs morale; too low and they might never come back.
• Injury & illness: HP drops daily while sick/injured until you use a medkit. Neglect is fatal.
• Expeditions: choose gear (Map / Axe / Filter / Battery). They may return with loot & new gear, nothing, or not even return.
• Real tradeoffs: events may success or fail!
• One stays behind: you can’t send everyone out, someone must guard the bunker.
• Short runs, high tension: decisions stack fast, procedural made so no two runs feel the same.

Tips

• Heal injuries/sickness ASAP—HP drains every night until treated.
• Rotate who goes outside to keep morale balanced.
• Don’t hoard everything: some events are value-positive trades.
• You can only try the radio once per day (any survivor). Progress is really precious.
